Answering service for law firms that gets every new client call answered
Bloombilt picks up when you're in court, in a meeting, or asleep. It asks a new caller your intake questions, texts an attorney about the urgent ones right away, and leaves everything else in your inbox with the details already written down.
The three kinds of calls a firm gets
- New client
- Someone was just arrested, served, or hurt. They are calling every firm on the first page of results, and they hire the one that picks up and takes them seriously.
- Current client
- A client wants an update or has a new document. It is not urgent, but if it sits on a voicemail for two days they start wondering what they are paying for.
- Court, counsel, and vendors
- A clerk, opposing counsel, or a process server needs a callback. Missing one of those is the kind of mistake that costs more than the call.
The firm that answers first usually gets the case
People call a lawyer on the worst day they've had in a while, and often outside office hours. A voicemail tells them to keep dialing. An after hours answering service that actually takes their story down tells them they've found someone.
We write the intake questions with you, by practice area. You decide what counts as urgent and who hears about it, and everything else waits in your inbox for the morning.
What it does for your firm
- Answers every call and website chat, including nights and weekends
- Asks your intake questions: who they are, what happened, the other parties, and how urgent it is
- Texts the attorneys you choose when a call is urgent by your rules
- Sends the transcript and the intake details to your inbox before you call back
Each intake is tagged with the practice area and how urgent it is, so a solo attorney and a firm with several practice groups get the same setup.
Common questions
Will it give legal advice?
No. It is set up to take down the facts and get them to you, not to tell a caller what to do. If someone asks a legal question, it says an attorney will follow up and makes sure the details are written down so that call goes well.
Can it help with conflict checks?
It collects what you need to run one: the caller's name, the other parties, and the matter type. You run the check in your own system before anyone commits to anything. It does not decide whether you can take a case.
What about confidentiality?
Calls and transcripts go only to the people at your firm you choose, and we set up who sees what during onboarding. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, kept separate from every other customer, and never used to train AI models.
Does it book consultations?
Not on its own. It takes the details and the times that work for the caller and gets them to you, so whoever runs your calendar can confirm the consult. That keeps the decision about which matters to take with the firm.
Do I have to change my phone number or provider?
No. It runs on top of the phone system you already have. During onboarding we point your unanswered calls at it, so it catches the overflow and the after-hours calls instead of letting them roll to voicemail.
How much does it cost?
Every deployment is custom-quoted, because every firm takes calls differently. We build it around your practice areas, your intake questions, and who should hear about what, then give you one flat monthly price. There are no per-call fees.
How long until I'm using it?
Most customers are live in two to three weeks from signed agreement.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel anytime with reasonable notice. We'll export your data and hand back anything we run for you, like a website or phone number. The rest stays yours.
