Plumbing dispatch software that makes room for the emergency call
Bloombilt Dispatch puts every plumber's day on one board. Emergency calls drop in next to the booked work, you move a job to whoever is closest, they see it on their phone, and finished work goes out as an invoice through the QuickBooks you already run.
Emergency calls throw off a plumbing schedule
A plumbing calendar looks tidy at 7am. By ten there's a slab leak, a no-hot-water call and a drain that turned into a camera job, and the person on the phone is trying to remember who's where.
Most shops run that from a whiteboard, a shared calendar or a dispatcher's memory. It works until the dispatcher is out sick. The point of a dispatch board is that anyone can see the whole day and move work in seconds.
What Dispatch does
- Every plumber's day on one board, a column per day
- Emergency calls dropped onto today and dragged to whoever is free
- Recurring work like drain maintenance and backflow testing that schedules itself
- Multi-day jobs where each day is its own visit that gets closed out
- A plumber's app that works in crawl spaces with no signal, and syncs when it's back
- Timestamped photos on every finished visit
- Finished work built into an invoice and sent through your QuickBooks
Dispatch doesn't quote, take payments or run payroll. It covers the work between winning a job and getting paid for it, and your books stay in QuickBooks.
When another platform fits better
If you sell from a flat-rate price book at the kitchen table, need estimates and payments in the same app, or want job costing next to the schedule, an all-in-one platform does that and we don't. Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan are built for it. We compared the two most common choices in Jobber vs Housecall Pro.
Common questions
How is this different from Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan?
Mostly by what it leaves out, and how it charges. It is a schedule board, a plumber's app, and QuickBooks invoicing, priced flat per company rather than per user or by team-size tier, so adding an apprentice does not raise the bill. It does not quote, estimate, keep a flat-rate price book, or take payments. If you want one system for all of that, an all-in-one platform is the better buy, and our comparison posts say which one.
What happens when a burst pipe call comes in mid-morning?
It drops onto today's board as a one-off. You can see every plumber's load before you assign it, drag it to whoever is closest or lightest, and reorder their day. Whoever's stops moved gets the change on their phone.
Does it handle repeat work like drain maintenance or backflow testing?
Yes. Anything that repeats is a recurring job, weekly, monthly, yearly or on a custom schedule, and it turns into visits on its own, four weeks ahead. You name the services and set the prices.
Do jobs that run more than one day work?
Yes. A job can span a date range, like a repipe or a remodel rough-in, and each day becomes its own visit that someone closes out with photos.
Can I move over from what I use now?
We move it for you. You tell us what you are on today, whether that is Jobber, Housecall Pro, something older or a spreadsheet, and we bring your customers, properties and recurring work across and set them up. You check the result before you rely on it.
How much does it cost?
A flat monthly price quoted for your company, not a per-user seat. Adding a plumber or an apprentice should not change what you pay for the schedule.
How long until I'm using it?
Most customers are live in two to three weeks from signed agreement.
Will this work with the tools we already use?
Yes. Our products connect to the systems your team already uses: Google Workspace, CRMs, calendars, Slack, email, and other common business tools.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel anytime with reasonable notice. We'll export your data and hand back anything we run for you, like a website or phone number. The rest stays yours.
Where does our data live?
Your data stays yours. It's encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated from every other customer, and never used to train AI models, ours or the third-party services we use to deliver the product. Subprocessor list available on request. Full details in our privacy policy.
