An AI receptionist that picks up when your team can't
Bloombilt Frontdesk answers the calls you miss, plus your website chat and contact form. It writes down who called and what they need, texts you when it's urgent, and puts the rest in one inbox.
How it works
- It picks up
- Calls your team can't get to are forwarded to it, after hours or after a few rings. Website chat and your contact form go to the same place.
- It takes it down
- Name, number, address, what's wrong, how urgent it is, and when they'd like a call back. It says it's an AI, and it doesn't quote prices or promise a time.
- You hear about it
- You get an email, and a text when a call matches the rules you set, like an emergency or an existing customer. The full transcript is in your inbox.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't book appointments. You confirm the time when you call back.
- It doesn't transfer calls live. It takes the details and alerts you.
- It doesn't quote prices or promise when someone will show up.
- It doesn't hold text-message conversations.
A lot of AI receptionists promise to book the job. Ours gets the details down and gets them to you fast, so the person who knows the schedule makes the promise. If you're weighing the two models, we wrote up AI receptionist vs answering service.
What you get
- Answers forwarded calls, website chat and your contact form in one inbox
- Pulls out the caller's details, the reason for the call, and how urgent it is
- Texts your team when a call matches your rules, and emails every lead
- Takes a voicemail and still alerts you if the AI line is ever down
It's part of Bloombilt Frontdesk. We set it up around your call reasons and your alert rules, and we run it for you.

Common questions
Does it sound like a person?
It sounds natural, but it doesn't pretend. If a caller asks, it says it's an AI receptionist answering for your business, and then it gets on with taking their details.
Can it book appointments?
No. It writes down when the caller would like to hear back and sends you the details, and you confirm the time. We'd rather say that up front than have it promise a slot you can't keep.
Can it transfer a call to me?
Not live. When a call is urgent by your rules, it texts the people you choose with the details right away, so you can call back within minutes instead of hearing about it from a voicemail.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Your number stays the same. We set up your phone system to forward the calls you don't pick up, after hours or after a few rings, to your receptionist line.
How do you know it's doing a good job?
We check every call against a list of rules: did it get the caller's details down, did it avoid quoting a price or promising a time, and did it flag anything dangerous. When a call misses, we fix the setup.
What happens if it goes down?
Calls fall back to a recorded greeting and a voicemail. The voicemail is transcribed and still lands in your inbox as a lead, with the same alerts.
How much does it cost?
Every deployment is custom-quoted, because every business takes calls differently. We set it up around your call reasons and alert rules, then give you one flat monthly price. There are no per-call fees.
How long until I'm using it?
Most customers are live in two to three weeks from signed agreement.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel anytime with reasonable notice. We'll export your data and hand back anything we run for you, like a website or phone number. The rest stays yours.
Where does our data live?
Your data stays yours. It's encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated from every other customer, and never used to train AI models, ours or the third-party services we use to deliver the product. Subprocessor list available on request. Full details in our privacy policy.
